IEEE: How to Access IEEE Xplore from Home (Remote Access)

1. Bring your device to campus
   First, come to campus with the laptop, tablet, or phone you want to use for remote access.

2. Connect to IEEE Xplore on campus
   Open IEEE Xplore while connected to the campus network.
   ✅ You should see your institution’s name at the top (this means you’re connected through the library subscription).

3. Sign in with your IEEE account

   • If you already have an IEEE personal account, just sign in.

   • If not, create a free IEEE account. [Use University-Provided Email]

   At this point, you should be signed in to both the institution access and your personal IEEE account.

4. Activate Remote Access

   • Go to My Settings → Remote Access.

   • Click “Establish Remote Access.”

5. Confirmation Message
   A message will appear:
   “Your Remote Status is Active – Expires on [Month, Day, Year].”

   🎉 This means your device is now paired for remote use.

6. Use IEEE Xplore from anywhere
   You can now use IEEE Xplore off-campus on this device (same browser) for 90 days.
   Just log in with your IEEE account to get access.

7. Renew after 90 days
   After 90 days, you’ll need to repeat the same steps on campus to renew your access.
