American Society of Mechanical Engineers
The American Physical Society (APS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing and sharing knowledge in physics. Founded in 1899, it is one of the world's largest organizations for physicists, with over 55,000 members globally. The APS publishes a number of influential scientific journals, including the prestigious Physical Review and Physical Review Letters, and organizes more than 20 scientific meetings each year. Beyond its publications and meetings, the society is actively involved in education, outreach, and advocacy, working to support the physics community and promote the importance of science to the public and in government affairs.
